PROGRAM HISTORY:
Throughout our 30 year history, Jersey Shore Boca has historically sanctioned a summer program each year that is designed for collegiate players who return home to the Shore for the summer and want to keep active in a highly competitive soccer environment.

The U23 summer program also gives recent high school graduates who will continue their soccer careers at the NCAA level, a chance to experience the physical, technical and tactical aspects of the collegiate game before they report to training camp.

The Jersey Shore Boca U23 summer soccer program has also become recognized by the local business community in Monmouth and Ocean County as a strong marketing partner as SURF TACO, a popular up and coming casual Mexican-themed restaurant chain with multiple locations throughout the New Jersey shore area, has proudly supported the Boca U23 summer soccer program since 2005 as the program's Official Sponsor.

The Boca U23 program for the past several years has established itself as one of the most competitive and most recognized soccer environments in New Jersey for college age players to play and train over the spring and summer months.

2010 - The Jersey Shore Boca U23 women continue to re-write the Club history books as the Boca ladies finished another strong summer campaign together which ended in the capture of MSSL Cup for a second consecutive year. It is the first time in Boca’s thirty-two year history that women’s team of any age has captured back-to-back championships.



2009 - In only their third year together, the Boca U23 women’s team notched themselves a place in the record books as they captured the 2009 Mid-Atlantic Summer Showcase League Cup. It is the first time during the Club’s six seasons of MSSL competition, that a Boca team, either men or women, has captured the MSSL Cup and also the first time in Club’s history that a women’s team of any age has captured a championship. Also during the 2009 season, the Boca U20 men's team reached the MSSL Cup Semi-Finals.



2008 - The Boca U23 women were participants in the USASA U23 Regional Tournament for a second straight year.

2007 - The summer season finished as one of the most successful summer programs in the history of the club. The Boca U23 women took the pitch for their inaugural season and quickly established themselves as a highly respected program in the Northeast. The Boca U23 women were invited to the 2007 USASA U23 Regional Tournament and advanced to the finals of the Mid-Atlantic Summer Showcase League MSSL Cup Championships during their first year together. The Boca U23 men also were invited to the 2007 USASA U23 Regional Tournament for the second consecutive year and made MSSL league history by joining the women's team by becoming the first ever men's and women's teams in league history from the same soccer club, to advance to the finals of the MSSL Cup Championships.

2006 - The Boca U23 men set an overall club record of 16 wins in their spring and summer together as the team finished at 16-5-1 and advanced to the semi-finals of the USASA U23 Regional Tournament. Also, two members from the 2006 U23 team, Chris Konopka and Teddy Niziolek, were selected by the Kansas City Wizards and Columbus Crew of Major League Soccer in the MLS 2007 Supplemental Draft.




TRYOUT INFORMATION:
Again in 2011, Jersey Shore Boca will continue our summer program for college players and HS players who will be playing college soccer in the fall. We will field both U23 men's and women's teams and will be looking for some of the most talented college age players in the jersey shore area and throughout the State to be on our rosters.

We will again participate as one of the founding members in MSSL, will have several highly competitive exihibition games against PDL and W League teams, USASA Select teams and NJ Champions League teams. We will also compete for a spot in the USASA U23 Regional Tournaments and will look to capture the men's and women's MSSL Cups.

College players and high school seniors (who will be playing in college in September-2011) who were born on or after August 1, 1987 and who are interested in joining the Jersey Shore Boca men's or women's U23 teams for the spring and summer of 2011, should contact the following Boca coaches or directors with your interest and information listed below:
